Our client suffered from swelling and pain. There was a delay on behalf of medical staff in performing the necessary incision and drainage that lead to an emergency situation for our client. A subsequent failure to make a timely referral of the plaintiff for surgery caused necrotizing fasciitis to set in at the site of the improperly treated wound. This necrotizing fasciitis then led to an emergency need for surgery.
