Since joining the firm in 1992, David has become a well-known, highly respected trial attorney as well a legal expert in several civil areas of law. He expanded the practice to include areas of law devoted specifically to the elderly and the incapacitated.
David has spent the last thirty years handling all aspects of a civil case, taking several verdicts a year throughout all five of New York City’s boroughs. His verdict against the Transit Authority in July of 2009 was one of the highest against the TA during that year.
David has published legal tips for the community that have been found in several national outlets including “WebMD”, “The Co-operator” and “Real Estate Weekly”. In addition, Mr. Lesch has been a featured Columnist for the newspaper, The Bronx Chronicle.
He is often quoted as a legal expert in notable publications such as the New York Times, Bronx Times, Investor’s Business Daily and The Gothamist.
David's publishing of informative legal tips has led to his coveted appointment as Legal Correspondent for the Television Network, BRONXNET. His Wednesday Legal Segment on the morning show, “Open”, has been by thousands of Bronxites
David has been co-host of "Justice Corner” and now has his own weekly show “Today’s Verdict” (Fridays at 9:30 pm on Optimum Channel 67 and Fios, Channel 2133)
His show is a popular landing place for the political elite. In 2021 and 2022 David interviewed every candidate for Mayor as well as Senator Chuck Schumer

Because of his outstanding work done at the television station, David was awarded a “Citation” by Assemblywoman Vanessa Gibson on behalf of the New York State Assembly.
In addition, on August 23, 2011, during a live “Today’s Verdict”, David was once again recognized for his contributions to the community, this time receiving a “Citation” from the Bronx Borough President.
Prior to joining Lesch & Lesch, P.C., David worked with a Supreme Court Judge elected to Bronx County. As Chief Court Attorney to the Honorable Judge Lorraine Backal, he honed his skills in the area of civil litigation including personal injury and landlord-tenant disputes. He has also worked in Queens County for the City of New York’s Corporation Counsel.
David received a B.A. from Union College in Schenectady, New York in 1987 and graduated from St. John’s University School of Law in 1990. He has been a Member of the NY Trial Lawyers, a Director of the Bronx County Bar Association, and a voting member of the St. John’s Law School. Alumni Board.
